Simon James - Managing Director

Simon has over 15 years experience working within the wealth management arena and is one of less than 2% of registered advisers in the UK who is qualified as a Certified Financial Planner.

Aged just 21, Simon became one of the country's youngest fully qualified financial advisers working for one of the UK's leading banks. Simon's career then progressed into management and at just 23 became the youngest management graded employee within the Bank worldwide.

In 2000, having managed a regional wealth management team for the Bank, Simon sought a new challenge and joined Paul Macintosh at the private client division of Granville Baird to head up the advisory team.

In 2004, Simon decided to take a year out and fulfil a lifelong ambition to ride a motorcycle unassisted and with no form of support around the world. In February 2005, having ridden over 34,000 miles, he returned to the UK relatively unscathed. Facing many challenges along the way, the skills that Simon has developed in 2004 will no doubt stand him in good stead for the rest of his career.

As well as taking primary responsibility for the day to day running of the company, Simon provides bespoke wealth management advice to private clients helping them to achieve their financial goals.
